ABOUT ME

J A Fields holding the Award for Best Nostalgia Program at he 2019 Lower Great Lakes regional Emmy Awards Gala
J A FIELDS

Hi, I'm J! I'm a photographer and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker from Columbus, Indiana with a passion for coffee and capturing the world through my camera.

I picked up photography when my uncle gave me a 35mm film camera and taught me the basics of exposure and lighting. From there, I began focusing on event, documentary, and fine art photography. While most of my professional work requires high resolution digital files, my personal photography is still taken on film.

I went on to study Telecommunications with an emphasis in digital video production at Ball State University, where I was the Assistant Producer of the 2x Emmy Award-winning documentary "The Story of Jim Davis."

Today, I work with organizations like Heartland International Film Festival, Eli Lilly & Co., and Cummins Inc. to help tell their story through photography and video.
